Thank you for the warm welcome to McKenzie Towne School.
I am new to McKenzie Towne but I have been an educator for 12 years, including some time spent teaching at international schools in Japan. I have taught a wide range of grades from preschool/kindergarten up to grade 8. Regardless of grade, I try to create hands-on experiences for my students that lead to learning by discovery. I love learning about new cultures and trying new experiences at least once. I am passionate about nature and the living world and try to foster in my students a sense of wonder, empathy, and care for all living things and the incredible natural world around us. In my spare time, I love doing art (drawing, painting, knitting, crochet among many others). I also love going outside to soak up "vitamin N" (kayaking, hiking, and gardening.)
